Visionary experiences
They occur without perceptual stimulation
within the confines of our closed-eyed heads.
So we say the psychedelic vision and the dream vision both occur...
in a theater.
both occur, you know... in a theater!

Hey dude,
Let's surf the mind.
Let's just become infinite awareness!
So we do *this* all day long.

Chomping psychic shrooms growing bigger than portabellas,
Gulping back caps like they're fired by mortar shellers,
45 minutes later, reminded I'm mortal,
But better enter the portal than live under awful orders in fetters.
Eat so many mushrooms they call me the angry capper,
Truth be told, just some stupid old mangey rapper,
Emotions scattered, comparably madder after the snack,
Wish I could go back after the fact, but wishes rarely matter!
Worldly desires waning, smell of kombucha wafting,
Belly isn't complaining, but sounds of "Om" begin popping.
Friendly faces are changing, the menaced maesters concocting,
The drabness of life is fading, dull thoughts aren't an option!
Relieved of ego's wanting as told in Tibetan Bardo,
Drop off emotional cargo, send that s*** off to Fargo!
Carry a bigger arsenal than Hunter Thompson in Barstow,
Then cruise the Great Shark past hookah-smoking escargot.
Fear & Loathing in Lost Spaces
You're changing, gone off-basis
The game that you're all racing's
a flame that the moth faces.
The aims that you're caught chasing
are lame at the wrong paces,
but fate isn't all wasted:
Your brain's in its Lost Spaces!
(2x)
Lyrics seem kinda off ya'll must think I'm some shroomtaker.
Spitting all kinds of heat, I'm really the boom-maker.
Piecing together beats like Thelma C. Schoonmaker,
Prisms gleaming off my teeth like the villain in Moonraker.
My shoelaces tied and my balance is pretty dastardly,
I never fear a bad trip, no schizophrenic casualty,
I enjoy a good nightmare, no slight scare can rattle me,
Pupils wider than margins people lose by dare they battle me.
All the ego-tripping done in the first half of this verse,
Ends tea-dazed and confused, ego flat in a hearse!
Hours more to brave and no buttons for volume toggle-downs,
Eyes Open Wide it's Alex Grey! I'm hearing Shpongle sounds!
Just saw IT for the first time, I'm seeing monster clowns,
Running to turn off my radio, but it's not on the grounds.
Oh god, am I cracking up? I'm not prepared for leaving!
I thought these were recreational drugs! Spirits are intervening!

The game that you're all racing's

"Here is part of an interview with the subject just before LSD..."

"Do you think you're normal?"
"Well, I hope I'm normal, I- I think so. "

"I've never seen such infinite beauty in my life.
You know it went through me!?"

The Myth of The Mingkulpa Tulpa:
a being of pure thought
created by an ancient Aboriginal dreamer,
and unleashed upon us all.
Chewing on the ash and leaves of the pituri plant,
the dreamer entered... a pituri dizzy!
And in the wake of this cosmic and personal event,
a confusion of dream and un-dream set in.
A rhyme of time gained and time lost.
A place of here and elsewhere.
A pituri didgeri mystery.
Unknown and known.
Paradox and parable.
The Mingkulpa Tulpa was born!
And the Aboriginal sent him forth
to meet We, The Modern Man!
All that we see (All that we seem)
A dream within a dream
All that we know
Is hope
(2x)
Whether the Tulpa was benevolent or not
was not yet understood.
But wherever he traveled,
a confusion of waking sleep befell all others.
And as the stars faded in the sky,
losing the war of light against the cities,
the dreamer and his Tulpa remembered,
they were standing there...
10,000 years before!
All that we see (All that we seem)
A dream within a dream
All that we know
Is hope

Came to achieve, the things that you can not believe
Came to receive, the gift of high philosophy
I came to think, to grow, to climb, to reach the brink
Then jump off- sky high, and float through the abyss or sink
I’m here to be brave, don’t hold your breath - go surf the wave
I’m right to claim whatever’s mine, cause we are all the same
What’s in my brain is not a special key to fame
Life’s insane, I’m just one part of everything that’s made
From allah to brahman I’m awesome – no matter your perception
attacks with weapons won’t collect ya blessings
so don’t shoot the messenger when messages are testing ya
big bang’s blessing ya, the universe caressing ya [BANG!]
shahi qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror
shahi qila – one thousand years of me seeing clearer
shahi qila – standing tall after hundreds of years of
smoking domes, broken bones, eroded stones, and broken homes
Shahi Qila –
4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila -
One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind
Shahi Qila –
4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila -
One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind
Still blind but I’m strong, the times have come along
To find what’s been hiding in plain sight, to defy wrong
I’m tired of some songs just trying to run on
sometimes the old forms take hold with such might
And it can be impressive, if often it’s oppressive
It’s hard to sum in short the complexity of this message
Intent is, there’s ego worship in the past, that’s true
But with short-term waste, we built things that last too
Like shahi qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror
shahi qila – one thousand years of me seeing clearer
shahi qila – standing tall after hundreds of years of
smoking domes, broken bones, eroded stones, and broken homes
Shahi Qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila - One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind
Shahi Qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila - One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind
Must add that there are asterisks, parapets and turrets
Most shapes were made to stave off those battleships in currents
And in the deserts, yessirs, there were catapults and bullets
In the jungles there were tunnels, tons of bombs and mines were fumbled
shahi qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror
shahi qila – one thousand years of me seeing clearer
shahi qila – standing tall after hundreds of years of
smoking domes, broken bones, eroded stones, and broken homes
Shahi Qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila - One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind
Shahi Qila – 4 billion years of me in the mirror, behind
Shahi Qila - One thousand years of seeing the light, and still blind

"The whole album seemed to me like an impossible challenge, but I was proven wrong, and it flows and morphs between genres almost effortlessly whilst staying true to the theme of the culture we all adore." - Xenoben
The Cosmic Collaboration Machine is a genre-defying Big Bang of psychedelic electronic music across a very wide range of styles and tempos.
30+ artists from around the world contributed on a volunteer basis to make this album possible. And it is certainly an ALBUM, rather than a compilation. Its 70+ minutes of music are made exclusively & specifically for The Cosmic Collaboration Machine, painstakingly from scratch, at lead producer Dane Curley's direction.
Simon Posford (of Shpongle, Younger Brother, Hallucinogen) kicks off our list of esteemed guests, including legendary psytrance group RA, psybient masterminds Easily Embarrassed, fine artist Alex Grey, performance artist Matthew Silver, Maggat (of Dead by April, Humanity's Last Breath), Farasat Anees, Xenoben, and more.
You'll both hear legendary trademarks and make new discoveries.
At times, Dane leads, follows, or gets out of the way! His participation as an artist ranges all the way from lead artist, to co-lead, featured artist, contributor, and in one case, no performance at all.
The Collaborators, including Dane, were at times invited to depart from their usual genres or styles, to mingle with other artists & contributors with different musical backgrounds and perspectives and let the spirit of collaboration supersede their regular plans.
So take part in something altogether wonderful and new! As well as own something unique & collectible!
Shamelessly writing in 3rd person,
- Dane
Note: Only one song on the CCM has ever been released before, and only as a digital single. It has been remastered for the collection.
